Rehabilitative Therapy Services

Our goal is to return each resident to his/her highest level of function. Individual programs are tailored to include goals that will ensure appropriate functional skills that can be identified, learned and reinforced.

We work together to enhance the quality of our residents’ lives by reshaping lost abilities and teaching them new skills. We heighten expectations for each resident and family. We rebuild hope, confidence, self respect and a desire to continue. Geriatric rehabilitation provides each resident the tools needed to maximize individual potential for achieving personal dignity.

Our program provides a therapeutic approach that meets the highest standard of quality in the most cost-effective and value-added manner. The Menno Haven program meets federal and state regulations as well as the requirements of most third party payers.

Our Rehabilitative therapy team is made up of licensed nurses and therapists, and certified assistants. All Rehabcare therapists at the Menno Haven campuses are graduates of accredited schools with either a bachelors’ or masters’ degree in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy. Our physical and certified occupational therapy assistants are graduates of a two-year accredited program. Licensed nurses, certified restorative assistants, and massage therapists aid in maintaining the restorative and massage programs. Our therapists and assistants have passed a national exam and are licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Certain types of Aquatic therapy may also be done through the therapy department to treat certain illnesses or injuries.

Physician Services

At Menno Haven, we place residents first, and make it a priority to have a physician on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Menno Haven offers the services of two full-time physicians who are available to campus residents as well as patients from the greater-Chambersburg community.

An on-campus health clinic offers our residents a convenient service. Wellness Clinics and rehabilitative therapies can be supervised by the on-campus health clinics with the supervision of the physician and his staff. Our physicians are Medicare providers.

If a resident chooses to travel to another physician in the Chambersburg area, transportation can be arranged through our volunteer offices for a nominal fee.
