Please plan to join us for Renaissance Movie Night on Friday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Renaissance Dining Room! It’s a mostly silent movie with a musical soundtrack, but contains a few strategic moments of onscreen noise that are delightfully surprising. The Plot: Silent movie star George Valentin bemoans the coming era of talking pictures and fades into oblivion and self-destruction, but finds sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer lighting up talkies like no one else. Approximate running time is 1 hour, 40 min. [NOTE: This movie follows the Renaissance Pizza Dinner, which is by reservation only; however, the movie is open to all interested residents.]

That means you can not only hear the person you are communicating with, but you can see them – and they can see and hear you too! We are especially encouraging residents in our nursing centers and personal care areas to utilize Skype. Residents wishing to learn this process may contact the Life Enrichment staff in your area for more information.
