Church and Community Relations is a community outreach.  It is our purpose to share the resources of Menno Haven with our local community by providing wellness and aging education and the faith perspective of aging.  Events planned by the Church and Community Relations are open to the public as well as the residents of Menno Haven Retirement Communities.

In addition to programs held on our campuses, we offer speakers from our Menno Haven care team to come to your church groups or civic club programs. We offer a variety of topics on aging issues, and a speaker can be scheduled for one session or speakers for multiple sessions, such as our Caregiver Series.  Click here to see our Speaker's Bureau Brochure.

Every month events are offered on campus as a public service and open to the public.  Presentations offered are intended to educate and promote healthy living through the seasons of life.  Cooking classes, safe driving classes, presentations on health topics and Caregiving Education are a few of the popular programs offered by Church and Community Relations. 

The Caregiver Education program, called Caring for Those We Love, is presented and prepared by members of the care provider team of Menno Haven Retirement Communities from information gathered by our own in-house experts as well as reseach from those across our industry.  The information is presented as a twelve part course that covers a variety of topics that affect caregivers.  We have gathered information from this program and compiled notes in the attached leaflet.  You may find the information helpful and timely if you carry the heavy weight of giving care. Additionally, a Spirituality and Aging Conference is held semi-annually.  The purpose the The Spirituality and Aging conferences are to share the resources of Menno Haven by providing spiritual enrichment and aging education.  Typically, a special keynote speaker is invited to share their expertise and then additional workshop choices focusing on aging issues are offered.
